Real Black Eggplant

The fruit, and even calyx, of this variety are a stunning shade of obsidian, making it one of the prettiest eggplants around! Aside from eye appeal, this tasty variety from Japan is extremely creamy, tender, sweet and versatile. Prepare them katsu style, grilled, or stir fried. 

Listada de Gandia Eggplant

One of the most popular heirloom types, these yield 7-inch white fruits with charming purple stripes. This excellent variety hails from Spain, a country renowned for fine food. Beautiful, with fabulous flavor in the tender flesh! 

Little Fingers Eggplant

Small, purple-black fruit cluster on sturdy, compact plants. Blunt fruit may be harvested when finger-sized but may also be allowed to grow larger with no sacrifice of its mild taste and tender texture. 

Ping Tung Long Eggplant

A wonderful heirloom eggplant from Ping Tung, Taiwan. A non-stop producer of fruits that are up to 18" long and 2" in diameter. Never bitter. No skinning necessary. Excellent mild flavor is sweet enough to go straight into any dish without pre-salting.
